Why wear contact lenses?

  • Better field of view
  • No clogging up
  • Convenient for sport
  • Nobody can tell you need vision enhancers

Are they safe?

  • Hygiene is extremely important with contact lenses - so long as your lenses are correctly looked after, the chance of infection is extremely low.
  • If you have any irritation of the eye while wearing contact lenses, remove them and contact your optometrist as soon as possible.

What are contact lenses?

There are different types of contact lenses for varying degrees of eye care.  Your Optometrist will advise you as to which type of lens is most appropriate for you.

  • Soft Lenses - made from hydrogel plastic material containing water. Different types of soft lenses are:
    • Disposable or Non-disposable
    • Spherical or Toric
    • Clear or Coloured
    • Extended Wear
    • Multifocal
  • RPG (Rigid Permeable Gas) Lenses

Specialist Service

Are you thinking of trying contact lenses? A spectacle prescription is not suitable for contact lenses. You need to make an appointment with your optometrist to:

    • Measure & try contact lenses
    • Learn to insert & remove the lenses
    • Provide aftercare

If you are interested in wearing contact lenses or require more information, visit our stores at Perth CBD or Claisebrook (East Perth) or make an appointment by calling:

08 9325 3254 (Perth)

08 9221 0577 (Claisebrook)
